Before you start using eXRAD to build your application, you need to make eXRAD aware of the database(s) that you intend to use. This is a 2-step process:

	A. Define the physical location of the database by adding a line to an eXRAD configuration file
	B. Generate an XML-based description of the database, using eXRAD's automated facility

When you've completed these steps, you're ready to generate your first eXRAD application....
